The current leader in Seacom’s Broadband Competiton has over 10,000 more votes than the competiting entries combined – and the contest ended on December 11th. However, it is still up to a panel of judges to determine the winner and four runner-ups. The high-definition video, submitted by IntraHealth International, is an impressive and personable blend of images, video, music, and most importantly, hope. Don’t forget to browse the 20 or so other entrants. Even though relatively few individuals and organizations submitted ideas, the suggestions of what to do with greater bandwidth are useful. Ideas include gaming, entrepreneurship, solar internet cafes, and better health care.
